Juridion LLC ("Juridion," "we," "us," or "our") operates IRAC-It, a legal document analysis platform accessible at iracit.juridionai.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our Service.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

When you use our Service, you may provide us with:

  • Account Information: Email address, password, display name, and profile photo (if using Google sign-in)
  • Professional Information: Law firm name, attorney name, bar number, contact information
  • Case Information: Case captions, case numbers, court names, party names, attorney contact details, service lists
  • Legal Documents: PDF files including complaints, answers, motions, responses, replies, cross-complaints, and counter-complaints that you upload for analysis
  • Payment Information: Billing details processed through our payment processor, Stripe

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you access our Service, we automatically collect:

  • Usage Data: Analysis requests, feature usage, timestamps, and interaction patterns
  • Device Information: Browser type, operating system, IP address
  • Authentication Data: Login timestamps, session information

1.3 Information from Third-Party Services

We receive information from:

  • Google (Firebase Authentication): If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo
  • CourtListener: Public court records, case opinions, and judge information related to citations in your documents

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

2.1 Primary Uses

We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Process and analyze legal documents you upload
  • Generate IRAC (Issue, Rule, Application, Conclusion) analyses
  • Verify case citations against public court databases
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Communicate with you about your account and the Service
  • Ensure security and prevent fraud

2.2 Legal Basis for Processing

We process your information based on:

  • Contract Performance: To fulfill our agreement to provide the Service
  • Legitimate Interests: To improve our Service and ensure security
  • Consent: Where you have provided explicit consent
  • Legal Obligations: To comply with applicable laws

3. THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS

We share information with the following third-party service providers who assist in operating our Service:

3.1 Anthropic (Claude AI)

We use Anthropic's Claude AI to perform legal document analysis. When you submit documents for analysis, the text content is processed by Claude's API.

Important Data Protection Information:

  • We use Anthropic's commercial API, which operates under their Commercial Terms of Service
  • Your data is NOT used to train Anthropic's AI models
  • API data is retained by Anthropic for only 7 days before automatic deletion
  • Anthropic does not sell data to third parties

3.2 Google Firebase

We use Google Firebase for:

  • Authentication: Secure user login and identity management
  • Firestore Database: Storage of user accounts, case data, and analysis results
  • Cloud Functions: Backend processing and webhook handling

3.3 Stripe

We use Stripe for payment processing. When you subscribe to our Service, Stripe collects and processes your payment information. We do not store your complete credit card numbers on our servers. Stripe's privacy practices are governed by their Privacy Policy at stripe.com/privacy

3.4 CourtListener (Free Law Project)

We use the CourtListener API to retrieve public court opinions and verify case citations. We send citation information to CourtListener to retrieve corresponding case data. CourtListener is a public legal database operated by the Free Law Project.

3.5 Vercel

Our frontend application is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may collect standard web server logs. Vercel's privacy practices are governed by their Privacy Policy at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy

3.6 Modal

Our backend processing runs on Modal's serverless infrastructure. Document processing occurs in memory and is not persistently stored by Modal.

4. DATA RETENTION

4.1 Account Data

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us at support@juridionai.com

4.2 Case Data and Analyses

Case information and analysis results are retained in your account until you delete them or close your account. We recommend you export any needed data before account closure.

4.3 Payment Records

Payment transaction records are retained as required by applicable tax and accounting laws, typically for seven (7) years.

5. DATA SECURITY

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit using TLS/SSL
  • Encryption of data at rest in our databases
  • Access controls and authentication requirements
  • Regular security assessments
  • Secure cloud infrastructure with SOC 2 compliant providers

Important: While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

6. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

6.1 Access and Portability

You may access your account information and download your case data at any time through the Service.

6.2 Correction

You may update your account information through the Service or by contacting us.

6.3 Deletion

You may delete individual cases within the Service. To delete your entire account and associated data, contact us at support@juridionai.com

6.4 California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, the right to delete your personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

7. CONFIDENTIALITY OF LEGAL DOCUMENTS

We understand that the legal documents you upload may contain confidential and privileged information. We treat all uploaded documents as confidential and do not access, review, or use your documents except as necessary to provide the Service.

Attorney-Client Privilege: Our processing of your documents is intended to assist in your legal practice and should not waive any applicable attorney-client privilege. However, you are responsible for ensuring compliance with your professional obligations regarding confidential information.

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The Service is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

9. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers.

10. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
